WH: Eagle's nest

WH was hoping you'd be able to understand how high up in the trees the eagle's nest is.  His illustration tells more of his story in addition to his words. Can you write like WH?

  1. Mybe I can write as great as WH! I have a question WH...why did you want to make a long spread to show how tall the trees are...why not just a plain piece of paper and just draw big and huge trees? I mean like how come you wanted the trees to look so big on your spread? You did a great job plaining out your story I can tell that because you made your spread pretty, you sketched beautiful, and you made your picture and words correct and spreaded, and for your picture you colered I mean sketched good! BYE!

  3. The real life inspiration www.jennefarm.com is much like this picture. When I saw the picture and the story, I knew exactly the tree and window WH was describing!

  4. Great page, WH! I knew exactly the tree and window too! Are the OO in look supposed to be eyes too? I love that! I can't wait to read your book! We will have to send a copy to Fran and Joyce at the Jenne Farm too.

  6. You got to post on your birthday how cool is that. Happy Birthday WH! I love the illustration for your story. It makes me want to read more.

As a reader I want to know what is going to happen to the eagle. I am wondering if he is as glorious and commanding as his sooo high nest.

I am hoping that I get a chance to read the story of this eagle! Aunt D.
